“Grandmas hold our tiny hands
for just a little while…..
but our hearts forever.”
~Author Unknown

Dear grandma, we miss you ...

"I can't believe it’s been a year already that we lost our dear mom. She was one of a kind. Her most important accomplishment in life was her family and we will try to live up to what she's taught us and more. (Pretty big shoes to fill) The respect I have for her there are no words for, and I will cherish her memory for as long as I live and breathe. We love and miss you Mom. We are who we are because of you".

"Your grandma was the most caring beautiful women I ever knew. When Bruce and I were together and I would come and visit, she would always make me some tea. I remember the time I got pregnant with Lisa and I was only 15yrs old, and I was scared shitless of letting her know, but to my surprise she was happy for me and it made me feel a whole lot better. She never judged me and just treated me like one of the family, which made me feel so good. We always kept in touch even though Bruce and I were not together. I would still visit her and we would go to Bingo together every once in a while. When she saw me her face would always light up and that made me feel special and had that special bond together. She always wanted Bruce and I to get back together but it wasn't possible (even deep down Bruce will always hold a special place in my heart because he was my first love). But anyways your grandma was the best and she will always be remembered. "

Grandma

"Grandma went to heaven on May 20, 2008
Before that time before she left to live with Jesus
She had called upon our family to say our goodbyes
It was one of the hardest things I had to do
Knowing that she was going to be leaving us
Saying goodbye to someone I really cared about
An important person who impacted my life greatly
It was very upsetting and I was sad for a long time
I miss seeing her working in the garden (she always had one)
And always busy cooking and cleaning in the kitchen
Taking care of everyone the way she always did
She had a purpose to her life and she worked hard
After she passed away I felt lost inside and out
I felt like I didn’t know who I was anymore
I cried a lot and missed her I didn’t want to forget her
Even as I write these words I want to cry
She always made us help clean, cook, go to church, sew
Showed us that it was better to give than receive
Plant seeds and use the land to survive
That no matter how little you had there was always a way
I will never forget you grandma and everything you taught me."

What I have ALWAYS missed after gramma got too sick to live on her own and even now as she is gone. Is walking into her house and seeing her cooking, baking, canning... etc. etc. you name it! I have yet to taste home made goods as wonderful as hers!! That's the gramma I remember and miss the absolute MOST.

A Walk to remember 2009 - Mary Beauregard's Family Walk

Is a family walk I have organized on May 31, 2009 for the whole family to take part in no matter where you are spread the word to anyone who is not included in the email I don't have everyone's email. I am hoping to continue doing this year after year to keep grandma's memory alive. See the link on the event link below to see details. Basically either by yourself or with family who live in the same city or town you will walk to have a day to remember grandma. Just so everyone is clear this isn't something you are expected to do its just something you can do if you want. I had a dream 2 days before I planned this event that a small part of the family was going for a walk with grandma and she look so happy and we all we very happy too remembing the old days. Thanks to all who will be participating so far we have a very good turnout so far for the Edmonton group. Hope to see you there and if not my thoughts will be with you and grandma on that day. - Lisa

We love you and we miss you! Add pictures and written memories of Mary Elvina Beauregard. She created all of us and lets keep her memory alive...if you knew her you know how strong she was and how much family meant to her...and with her having 12 children this family is growing and growing and it is amazing that we have so many people to share her love with.

This is the link to the Facebook Event that details the walk to remember 2009:

This is the link to a practice walk of the route for the Edmonton family group. We are still going testing routes at least a few times till we are happy with the route and that it is good for strollers as well.

http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#/group.php?gid=16321662732 and if you are not already a member I have a facebook group that I created for grandma last year for all the family to keep in contact with news and pictures if you want to check it out.

As we listen to Celine Dion and R Kelly sing "I'm Your Angel", we are reminded of you...

No Mountains too high, for you to climb
All you have to do is have some climbing faith, oh yeah
No rivers too wide, for you to make it across
All you have to do is believe it when you pray

And then you will see, the morning will come
And everyday will be bright as the sun
All of your fears cast them on me
I just want you to see...

I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry
I'll hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel
And when all hope is gone, I'm here
No matter how far you are, I'm near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
I'm your angel

I saw the teardrops, and I heard you cry
All you need is time, seek me and you shall find
You have everything and you're still lonely
It doesn't have to be this way, let me show you a better day

And then you will see, the morning will come
And all of your days will be bright as the sun
So all of your fears, just cast them on me
How can I make you see...

I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry
I'll hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel
And when all hope is gone, I'm here
No matter how far you are, I'm near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
I'm your angel

And when it's time to face the storm
I'll be right by your side
Grace will keep up safe and warm
And I know we will survive

And when it seems as if your end is drawing near
Don't you dare give up the fight
Just put your trust beyond the sky...

I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry
I'll hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel
And when all hope is gone, I'm here
No matter how far you are, I'm near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
I'm your angel

I'll be your cloud up in the sky
I'll be your shoulder when you cry
I'll hear your voices when you call me
I am your angel
And when all hope is gone, I'm here
No matter how far you are, I'm near
It makes no difference who you are
I am your angel
I'm your angel
